David A. Boone, D.D.S.

Dr. Boone graduated with honors from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1999, and has been helping the people of West Michigan smile brighter ever since. After practicing dentistry for nearly four years in Spring Lake, Michigan Dr. Boone went on to pursue his desire to open a practice of his own in his home town, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr. Boone is committed to providing his patients with the utmost in dental care, from patient comforts to state-of-the-art technology. Your smile is his top priority! He keeps abreast of current dental knowledge by maintaining memberships with the ADA, AGD, MDA and WMDDA and attending regular continuing education courses. Dr. Boone is married, with five children, and enjoys spending most of his free time with his family.

Gina L. Scheidel, RDH

Gina is a Registered Dental Hygienist at Smiles by Design. She graduated with honors from Grand Rapids Community College in 1995 and is also certified in the administration of local anesthesia. Her top priority is to give her patients the best dental care possible while helping them to obtain the smile that they've always wanted. She is consistently continuing her education in the field by taking courses in hygiene and all other aspects of dentistry. Gina is married and has two daughters. In her spare time she is happy to be on her boat, camping, or simply enjoying family time.

Barbara J. McKellar, RDH/Dental Assistant

Barb is a Registered Dental Hygienist and Dental Assistant at Smiles by Design. While her job is to see that Dr. Boone has the necessary tools to do the task at hand, her top priority is seeing that the patient is warm and comfortable throughout their time in the dental chair. She is dedicated to her profession and strives to continually better her knowledge of all dental aspects. Barb is married and the mother one daughter and two sons, whom she loves spending time with.

Amber M. Crain, Receptionist/Dental Assistant

Amber is the Front Office Receptionist at Smiles by Design. She is also trained as a Dental Assistant for which she fills in, on occasion. She is a graduate of Grand Rapids Assisting School, with an emphasis in computers and insurance billing. From your first contact through your continued relationship with us she will assist you with financial arrangements and insurance, as well as answering any questions you may have about your total experience with Smiles by Design. Amber is the mother of one daughter and enjoys spending time outdoors and cooking.

Stefanie L. Boone, Executive Assistant

Stefanie is the Executive Assistant at Smiles by Design, and Dr. Boone's wife. Among other things, she manages such areas as practice marketing, accounts payable, and practice consulting. While you won't see her face much around the office, she is always busy working to make your overall experience as a patient at Smiles by Design the best it can be. In her spare time, Stefanie loves to attend various sporting events and playdates with her five children.

Sandra R. Redder, Administrative Assistant

Sandra is the Administrative Assistant at Smiles by Design. She has nearly 20 years of medical/dental office experience and is a wealth of knowledge in the aspects of dental insurance, financial arrangements and general front desk duties. Sandra is happily married, with two boys. She enjoys family camping trips in the summer, reading, and warm, sunny weather!
